This cellarless, three-storey building is used for car parking and technical facilities, including for accommodation and administration. The building comprises staff training facilities, exercise facilities, a climbing wall, a four-storey training tower complete with hose tower and other outdoor facilities and utilities. The work is being financed by the Czech Ministry of Defence.
The lattice roof trusses are protected against fire by the company J.SEIDL a spol., s.r.o. The company used Bochemit Antiflash colourless, an affordable fire retardant coating that, complies with reaction-to-fire class C under ČSN EN 13501-1, as demanded by the project (it even meets reaction-to-fire class B - s1, d0). This is in spite of the company producing its own fire retardant coating, Dexaryl B Transparent, which can also protect wooden structures from major fires and which complies with reaction-to-fire class B. Bochemit Antiflash was chosen because it meets the project requirements and because of its price, method of use, availability and maintenance.
“So satisfied are we with Bochemit Antiflash that we have now listed it among the services we offer. We will certainly recommend it to our other clients as well,“ concluded David Glas, technologist at the custom orders department of J. Seidl a spol., s.r.o.
