Owners of a new-build in Nošovice were looking for high-quality construction materials that would guarantee a long lifespan for their building. That’s why they banked on Bochemit when it came to the roofing.
The choice came down to Bochemit for a number of reasons: for years, the owner's family had been using the brand for work around the house; the carpenter was also used to working with Bochemit; the sawmill owner recommended an impregnation process; and, last but not least, all of the owners' friends were also using it on their own buildings. With this in mind, for the wooden roof structure they bought timber from the Nošovice Sawmill that had been pre-impregnated with Bochemit QB Profi (brown). For the roof soffit, they used their own stock of dried wood that had originally been intended for another building being constructed in their extended family. They undertook the impregnation themselves, after having protected the building using Bochemit Opti F+ spray. They applied two coats using a thin-nozzled spray gun.
As the owners were carrying out the construction work on their own - using professional craftsmen for specific tasks only - they also took on the task of spray impregnation.
