On the basis of our long-standing cooperation with the Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians Active in Construction (ČKAIT), last week we organized a seminar in Brno for professionals in the field on the topic of "Impregnation of construction grade lumber against biotic pests."
Jaroslav Strnadel, who has many years of hands-on experience in the development of Bochemit products, gave an engaging lecture on chemical protection of timber. Together with his colleague Vlasta Kašparcová, he helped the seminar participants to get acquainted with a wide range of products designed for professional use and the DIY segment, including practical recommendations for choosing the right product and how to apply it in order to achieve the desired effect.
The focus was mainly on why it is crucial to consider wood impregnation as early as at the design stage. Not only is it much easier to carry out, but it is also many times cheaper than subsequent remediation, which, on top of that, is unpleasant and time-consuming.
