The refurbishment of Building 21 is being initiated for several key reasons. The primary impetus is the inadequate condition of the current roofing and the inevitable need to adapt the space into new central changing rooms. In the current stage of the refurbishment, the original metal gable roof was replaced. The wooden laths used were soaked in Bochemit Opti F+ application solution, which guarantees their high resistance to wood-destroying actors and fungi and long life. The successful completion of the roofing lath work was followed by the installation of new roof metal sheets, which not only improve the aesthetic appearance but also the functionality of the entire building.
An important stage was also the on-site treatment of the timber with a coating after installation on the roof, especially in areas where there were transverse cuts, notches and joints after the installation of the impregnated elements. These parts are at the greatest risk of pest infestation and therefore special attention has been paid to their protection to prevent any destructive process.
