The owner of a wooden building in Strašice, in the rugged Brdská Highlands, has left nothing to chance when it comes to protecting wood against pests.
Having dealt with wood protection in the past when using other products, he knows perfectly well that untreated or poorly treated wood can naturally decay much faster in adverse conditions such as moisture. For that reason, he has used colourless Bochemit Opti F+ to pre-treat his roof elements (trusses and battens) against infestation from wood-decaying insects, fungi and moulds.
He has also given thought to fire prevention, and has used Bochemit Pyro to apply a preventive coating to all wooden elements located near the chimney (battens, OSB boards). As well as retarding ignition timing in the event of fire, this coating also reduces smoke and prevents the release of burning particles that could cause the fire to spread.
Finally, he has used Bochemit Estetik pine to treat the decorative interior wooden elements, emphasising the wood’s natural beauty and pattern.
